This project was part of an online course I took with Tansy Hargan. The idea was to find an old book and use it as the basis of a game which involved throwing one or more dice and using the result to determine what went on the page, e.g. a particular paint colour or a certain number of pre-cut collage pieces, with each page being assigned a number at random. The choice of words was less arbitrary. The book I chose to alter was called “100 Hymns for Today”. I left the cover as it was because it seemed like I had created a new type of hymn book. The book contains 33 double-page spreads of which 12 are shown.
