Found objects

This project is about people’s relationships with their belongings. It started as an investigation into clutter and hoarding and then I interviewed a number of people about their relationships with their belongings. One person told me, “It’s like I have 1000 children and I am responsible for them all” and I decided to use this statement as the basis of this work.

An art installation by Hampshire artist Marian Way in a gallery features a variety of objects arranged by colour. There are mannequins, shelves, and small furniture pieces enhancing the visual display against white walls.
